What are we doing?

Fujitsu Services and the ONE Foundation are collaborating in a project to install a PlayPump® Water System in South Africa in 2009

A small team of cyclists, supported by Fujitsu, is aiming to raise money for a PlayPump. Additional funding is coming from the sales of bottled water (Branded One Water) on Fujitsu premises.
The challenge for the cyclists will be to cycle approx 500 Km to the installation site of the PlayPump. They will pay for their own flights and accommodation so 100% of your donation will go towards the pump.

A life-changing and life-saving invention..."As children spin on the roundabout, fresh clean water is pumped from deep underground into a storage tank for use by the entire community. Welcome to the Fujitsu Playpump blog.



Over the next year we will track the progress of the three Fujitsu riders, Dave Birch, Robin Raven and Bernard Fessel in there attempt to ride 500km across South Africa to the installation site of a PlayPump. The playpump, funded by generous donations, will provide clean drinking water for the village where it is located.



We'll try and update this as often as possible, and will blog the ride as we do it.
